'Guardians of The Galaxy 2' Release Date, Cast News: Photos Show Zoe Saldana Getting Prepped; James Gunn Debunks Plot Rumors
It would be safe to assume that anticipation is already high for James Gunn's follow-up movie of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" series, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." In fact, a sneak peek from one of the film's cast members created a buzz on the social media world this week.
The behind-the-scene update comes from Zoey Saldana, who plays the character of Gamora. Citing the report from Gamespot.com, the 37-year-old actress shared a picture of her getting into what seems to be a grueling make-up preparation for her role on the big screen.
The number of images show her getting covered with what appears to be the substance that makes her look like the daughter of Thanos in the comic books.

"Ready for another one? #guardiansofthegalaxy #gamora #scifi #Marvel," the mother of two said in her Twitter post.
In the same article from Gamespot, Gunn was cited addressing the ongoing rumors about a major plot twist that perhaps, fans should be expecting to be revealed in the second film.
These talks particularly point to the information claimed by the people from Heroic Hollywood who said that the father of Peter Quill, played by Chris Pratt, is actually the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell of the Kree.
In his Facebook post, Gunn said that the theories about Quill's parentage are "completely false, and aren't even close to the truth."
"I don't know how people come up with this stuff, but it certainly isn't through legitimate sources," he said on his post (via Gamespot).
Aside from Pratt and Saldana, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is also slated to once again feature the acts of Dave Batista as Draxx the Destroyer, as well as the voice talents of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket and Groot respectively.
The film is scheduled to hit the cinemas May 5, 2017.
