Halle Berry is reportedly engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez after dating for almost two years.

Martinez, 46, recently proposed to Berry, 45, and she has been photographed sporting an emerald-and-diamond ring ever since, according to US Weekly.

Berry, the first African-American to win an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2001, is believed to have met Martinez on the set of the film "Dark Tide.”

The pair first appeared as a couple just months after Berry had officially ended her 5-year relationship with her baby's father and model, Gabriel Aubry.

Berry, who has been married twice before, is said to be comfortable about the idea of having a third marriage.

"[She] had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He's a keeper!" a source told Us Weekly.

Martinez, who was once linked to Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue, is often photographed bonding with Berry and Aubry's 3-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry.

Last year, Berry and Aubry's ongoing custody dispute was resolved in Berry's favor, after a judge granted her request for a nanny to be present whenever Aubry is alone with his daughter, according to TMZ.

Martinez has appeared in a number of Hollywood movies including "Before Night Falls,” "Unfaithful" and "S.W.A.T."

Berry was first photographed wearing the alleged engagement ring on Dec. 29, and reports suggested that Martinez had proposed over Christmas.

In 2007 Berry was quoted as saying "I stink at marriage," to Parade, which left fans assuming she would not be getting married again.

In a 2009 interview with Mail Online, she opened up about her relationship with then-boyfriend Aubry.

"I’m so not the relationship go-to girl. But I’m much clearer about what a relationship is, which is why I will never marry again," Berry said.

"Gabriel and I have a great partnership and a lovely daughter. But I once was stupid enough to say, in a previous relationship, ‘I’m going to be with this person forever,’ and realized, as I grew, that I don’t know if forever is possible," she added.

Neither Berry nor Martinez have confirmed a wedding date.
