Halo 5: Guardians Release Date: Scheduled for Fall 2015, Halo Master Chief Collection Grants Beta Access
Halo 5: Guardians is an upcoming first-person shooting game developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios. The game will come out on the fourth quarter of 2015 and will be an Xbox One exclusive.
"Halo 5: Guardians" will be the fifth main title in the Halo franchise and will serve as a sequel to Halo 4. The title was first annouced to be in development at the Xbox One Reveal event May 21, 2013. A teaser trailer was then revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013 with Phil Spencer first stating the game to come out on 2014.
Spencer also announced during the reveal that the Reclaimer trilogy was going to be expanded, saying he didn't want the Reclaimer story to be limited within a trilogy.

The fall 2015 release date was then announced on May 16, 2014 by 343 Industries' general manager Bonnie Ross.
The game is still a long way away but the game is scheduled to open its Halo 5 Multiplayer beta on December later this year. To gain access to the beta, players must first purchase the Halo: Master Chief Collection which includes a beta key and Ridley Scott's live-action "Halo: Nightfall" series.
Kotaku spoke with executive producer Kiki Wolfkill about the collections contents.
"We will go into more specifics a little later down the road, but we definitely want [Halo 5 beta] rewards to feel meaningful for the player. So it's not just art things," Wolfkill said.
The story of the Nightfall series will lead directly to Halo 5's story but purchasing the collection will also unlock content in the beta.
The Halo: Master Chief Collection will be available Nov. 11 and purchasing the collection will guarantee access to the beta which will run on Dec. 29 to Jan. 18. There may be other ways of acquiring beta access but the only guaranteed method would be by purchasing the collection.
