There has been a plan by the FBI to try and corner Hannibal so that an arrest can be made. However, things are taking far too long for Jack Crawford's patience, and there is set to be movement and a climax in Friday night's finale.

"He feels very far committed, and he's hoping that his investment in Will, will pay off," said series creator Bryan Fuller, according to TV Guide.

"This is a man who already betrayed Will once and didn't believe Will when it was most important for him to believe him. He's in a really tricky position. What's wonderful about Laurence's performance in these last couple episodes is that you feel this is a man who's barely holding on to rage and betrayal and confusion. And yet, he's guided by his strength of character and his perception of right and wrong."

In other news that will delight Hannibal fans, the series has been renewed for a Season 3.

Many had been concerned for the series after it continued to have poor ratings in its second season. In Season 1 of Hannibal the ratings were distinctly lower than the network had hoped for, but it was still renewed for a second season.

But this time around things have gotten even worse, with the ratings for Season 2 even lower – by about 23 percent in the demo. That basically ranks the series as NBC's lowest rated scripted series. That led many to predict that it would get the chop this time around, but NBC has still moved to renew the series for a third season,

According to various rumors, NBC may have renewed the series due to the network's agreement with the show's studio. It is believed that under that agreement, episodes of Hannibal only cost the network $500,000 each, which is far lower than most of the network's dramas, and relieves some of the pressure on its ratings.

Hannibal Season 2 Finale will air on Friday night on the NBC network with a start time of 10 p.m. ET. The show can be watched online through free live stream by clicking here.
