'Hannibal' Season 3 Cast News, Plot Spoilers: Another 'Scary Dude' Heading to the Show
While the hit psychological horror TV series "Hannibal" is getting ready for its brand new third season, casting rumors pointed out that another "scary dude" is heading towards the NBC thriller.
TV Line said that the sadistic and disfigured Mason Verger (currently played by "The Divide" actor Joe Anderson) will have his own personal doctor when the show returns on air. The newcomer is Dr. Cordell Doemling who will be played by Glenn Fleshler of "True Detective."
Fleshler's character is described as "quiet, very intelligent and definitely creepy," yet "attentive and gentle with Mason. He's a professional who cares about his work, but we get a sense he might be as sadistic as his boss — and a perfect fit to become his potential henchman."
Earlier casting updates from FranchiseHerald.com meanwhile stated that Francis Dolarhyde (to be played by "The Hobbit" star Richard Armitage) will also get a pair in the upcoming chapter of the TV show in the person of "True Blood" alum Rutina Wesley.
As indicated by the site, Wesley will be playing the character Reba McLane who, together with Dolarhyde, was featured in the 2002 "Red Dragon" film starring Anthony Hopkins as the infamous Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Edward Norton as Will Graham.
Spoiler reports also said that when "Hannibal" Season 3 kicks off this summer, fans will find Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal and Hugh Dancy's Will Graham far away from each other.
