'Hannibal' Season 3 News, Update: Series Creator Bryan Fuller Dishes Details on the Dr. Lecter and Du Maurier Relationship
NBC's hit psychological-thriller TV drama series "Hannibal" is already close to airing the premiere episode of its brand new third season and fans are still hankering for more details as for what the coming chapter would offer. Here's what we heard:
Series creator Bryan Fuller revealed that the interaction between Mads Mikkelsen's titular character and Gillian Anderson's Bedelia Du Maurier will center on the idea of "self-identification."
"The relationship between Hannibal and Bedelia is one of darkness," Fuller told Spolier TV.

However, separate from what Dr. Lecter and Will (Hugh Dancy) share in the previous seasons, "there's a genuine feeling between them [Bedelia and Hannibal]" in Season 3.
"But it definitely goes beyond the relationship of a patient and a psychiatrist," the showrunner.
Moreover, the most important element that comes to interplay between the relationship is who gets to control the other.
"Bedelia is in full control and she has a plan," the site wrote.
As to what plan this may be, fans would need to find out when the show returns to the small screen.
The interview went on to discuss Fuller's favorite scene in the upcoming season and he calls it the "best dinner scene ever."
The one Fuller mentioned would be that dinner scene in episode 7 where Mason Verger (Michael Pitt) is hosting.
"Hannibal" Season 3 is slated to return on its Thursday, 10 p.m. timeslot this June 24 on NBC.
