The coaches for the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers will make Super Bowl history this year under the same last name.

John and Jim Harbaugh are both NFL coaches. They are also both brothers and will become the first set of siblings to coach two separate teams during an NFL Championship game.

"I guess it's pretty neat," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said in an interview with The Los Angeles Times. "Is it really going to be written about?" he asked, and of course the answer was yes.

The relationship between the two coaches will likely be under extreme scrutiny until the big game. So the brothers have set on a plan of non-communication. Give and take a text or two, it appears that the brothers have made no time for idle chit chat and plan on steering clear of each other altogether from now until the big game.

"It doesn't matter who the coach is, what relationship you have with the person on the other side," Jim said Monday afternoon in an interview with The Washington Post.

John has admitted that his brother is competitive and that it is a quality that has made him "great." But both men may have the same approach when it comes to coaching because they were offered the same "great" advice.

"Probably the greatest advice that I've ever been given and the only advice that I've ever found to be true in all of coaching, I think we mentioned it to both John and Jim ... the coaching advice is, 'Get ahead, stay ahead,'" the two coaches' father, Jack Harbaugh, said.

But Jim doesn't want the talk to be about himself or his brother on game day.

"Every moment that you're talking about myself or John, that's less time that the players are going to be talked about," Jim told The Post.
