Harry Potter Platform 9 3/4 Officially Revealed at King's Cross: Next Stop Hogwarts
Harry Potter fans who have searched in vain for platform 9 ¾ at King's Cross Station will now have much less difficulty locating it due to new renovations that have established more clear signage on the platform.
Many customers have complained about their inability to locate platform 9 ¾ at the London based King's Cross Station. The platform, which was prominently highlighted from the very first Harry Potter book, has been up to this point virtually impossible to find.
Now however, thanks to a $875 million makeover, the new 9 ¾ platform will be far easier to locate. The fictitious platform, from which Harry and his friends could take the train to Hogwarts in the "Harry Potter" series developed by J.K. Rowling, has now been marked by a new glass and steel entrance.

Prior to the new markings, the location of the platform had been frequently changed, angering tourists and fans alike.
The new platform is now clearly marked with an official station sign, which is posted not far off from platform 9 itself. Rumor has it that travelers can even witness a traveling cart going through the wall. The platform is located in the New Western Departures Concourse, which is also marked clearly on the new maps that have been developed by the station.
The 9 ¾ platform was opened to the public on March 19. Although the new markings for the platform may have concerned some at Hogwarts, who enjoy the discreteness of the platform, the new map is likely to help new students who are making their first time visit. Of course only visitors with magical abilities will be able to pass through the wall and access the actual platform itself.
