Harry Styles has finally broken his silence on former love interest Taylor Swift this week.
The lead singer of One Direction was briefly linked to Swift late year when the pair was repeatedly spotted kissing and holding hands.
While promoting One Direction's new single "One Way or Another" in London on Sunday, Styles replied to questions about how he was handling the split from Swift.
"I'm okay, thank you for asking," said the singer while speaking to London's capital FM during a radio interview. "I'm good."
Rumors about a bitter breakup between the singers arose in January, with gossip intensifying after Swift's performance at the Grammy Awards. The country music star imitated a British accent while singing her hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" during the ceremony, leading many to suspect it was a jab at Styles.
Despite hearsay, the British heartthrob has shaken off the possible dig and even said Swift's performance was "good."
"She's a great performer and she always performs great," the 19-year-old told London's radio station. "She's always good on the stage. She's been doing it a long time. She knows what she's doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance. It was good."
As for the speculation over his love life, Styles acknowledged its intrigue.
"I understand why people would want to know stuff like that, I get it," said the singer. "If someone does stuff like that then I want to know about it, too. I guess it just kind of … It is what it is, I guess."
Meanwhile, Swift, 23, and Styles will be forced to reunite during the upcoming Brit Awards. Some reports indicated that the singers have encountered tensions as they try to avoid one another while preparing for the event.
"It was a bit of an oversight to say the least," one source revealed to the U.K.'s The Sun. "The original plans were drawn up a while back when Harry and Taylor bumping into each other wouldn't have been an issue. But they've had to rethink now."
The Brit Awards are scheduled to take place this Wednesday, Feb. 20.
