'Hawaii Five-0' News: 100th Episode to Air on Nov. 7, Gavin Rossdale Guest Stars

Many people, especially fans of the original series, were skeptical when the "Hawaii Five-0" reboot premiered in 2010, as reboots can be difficult to get right. But now, the show is about to air its 100th episode—a milestone for any TV series.

In the special episode, the Hawaiian police force made up of Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), Danny Williams (Scott Caan), Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) and Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) will deal with a new bad guy as Steve gets kidnapped by his long-time nemesis Wo Fat, and he imagines what could have happened to his Five-0 team if their lives had taken different paths. The episode will show an alternate universe wherein the team is not what it is today, and Steve's father is still alive.

Meanwhile, Bush front man Gavin Rossdale has been cast as a major villain in the special episode. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the father of three spoke about how he got the role.

"My manager is crazy!" said Rossdale. "He was talking to the good people at CBS and one thing led to another. What I ended up doing was I acted in [the episode], then left to go to New York to release my record, and then came back and play the 100th episode party on the beach."

Rossdale is no stranger to the camera, as his credits include roles in 2005's "Constantine," 2013's "The Bling Ring" and roles in "Criminal Minds" and "Burn Notice."

As for his role in "Hawaii Five-0," Rossdale shared some spoilers about his character, Johnny Moreau.

"I just took it that my character totally double-crossed the guy who brought me up and showed me everything … It's a criminal world and it's like a Darwinism—the meaner you are through your reign, then you get to where you want to go," he said.

"But of course, I get arrested and am currently in jail in Hawaii," he added.

The 100th episode of "Hawaii Five-0" airs on Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
