'Hawaii Five-O' Season 6 Premiere Date, News: When Will McGarrett and the Squad Return to The Small Screens?

CBS recently announced the fall 2015 premiere dates for its list of scripted drama series like "The Big Bang Theory," "Scorpion," and "NCIS: Los Angeles," among others. Included in the announcement is the return of its hit police-procedural TV drama show "Hawaii Five-O."

Returning for its sixth season run, the show will follow the premiere airing of the 27th Season of "The Amazing Race" this Sept. 25.

As to what fans should expect when McGarrett (Alex O' Loughlin) and company return, executive producer Peter Lenkov previously told the people from The Hollywood Reporter that he wanted to see the officer doing the things like James Bond does.

"I wanted to do McGarrett in a tuxedo, defusing a bomb, flying in a helicopter — all the things you see James Bond doing," the showrunner said.

Season 5 ended with Gabriel (Christopher Sean) threatening one of the Five-O's, Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim). As the executive producer revealed, Gabriel will be a "force to reckon with" in the next chapter.

"[Gabriel is] definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with, and he's going to come right up, very hot out of the gate in the first episode next season," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Other than that, viewers will get to learn more about Gabriel's plans.

"The pieces are going to come a little bit more together at the beginning of next year. Somebody like that, you imagine as soon as he got away, he would have left the island, but he didn't, so you've got to ask yourself why," he said.

"Hawaii Five-O" will kick off its Season 6 premiere on Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
