'Hearthstone: Journey to Un'Goro' New Dinosaur Cards: Which Dinosaurs for Which Classes?

While players of the popular turn-based card game "Hearthstone" are impatiently waiting for next week's launch of "Hearthstone: Journey to Un'Goro," the primordial and dinosaur-themed expansion coming next for the game, new cards are being revealed one by one. Find out more about the new dinosaurs that will be coming in decks all over when the expansion goes live next month.

New cards have been popping up online every now and then since Blizzard has called on "Hearthstone" players to "Prepare to Embark on a Journey to Un'Goro," as their post on the "Hearthstone" official blog put it. The first dinosaur card revealed, the Verdant Longneck, shows off the new Adapt keyword that lets a minion gain new properties, from a total of ten options, including Divine Shield, Windfury, Taunt and Deathrattle. Talk about versatility, these new dinosaur cards have it.

The Verdant Longneck is a versatile card for Druids, but Tyrantus can handily secure the win, for a hefty cost of 10 Mana. The 12/12 Beast "can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers," so it's pretty much an immovable monster on the board at that point.

Hunters have a wide selection of dinosaurs, as expected, starting with Small Raptor and Crackling Razormaw, all the way to Swamp King Dred and Queen Carnassa, useful for covering the foe with an endless wave of vicious Raptors.

Mages, Rogues, Shamans and Priests, sadly, haven't scored a single dinosaur card as of this time. Paladins, meanwhile, will get Stegodons out of the new expansion, including Lightfused Stegodon, Spikeridged Steed and Gavaldon.

Warlocks get the Ravenous Pterrordax as their sole dinosaur card. While Warriors are pretty much in the same situation, with just one dinosaur card so far, they do get the mighty King Mosh, a board-clearing monster that costs 9 Mana and has the ability "Battlecry: Destroy all damaged Minions."
