Heather Moyse, Canadian Olympic Bobsledder, Bathes in Trash Can in Sochi (PHOTO)

Heather Moyse, the Canadian Olympic bobsledder, tweeted a picture of her bathing in a garbage can in the Sochi Sunday. Apparently the gold medalist needed to take a bath but there was a short supply of tubs in the Russian village, so she improvised.

Heather Moyse's need to take a bath comes from the tradition of using Epsom salts in a bath, which treat sore muscles. Moyse and teammate Kaillie Humphries will try their best Tuesday to defend their gold medal they won in Vancouver in 2010, but first Moyse had to have her special bath.

"No bath tubs in the Mountain Village… So just chillin' in a garbage bin doing a hot Epsom salt 'bath'! #NoExcuses," the Olympian tweeted as a caption to her picture. She seemed to be in an unfinished part of Sochi, complete with construction materials lying in the background.

The move, which highlights the shoddy and sometimes unfinished construction projects that dot the Sochi landscape, attracted much attention from the Canadian press. The Toronto Sun covered Moyse's garbage can bath, asking readers if they would do the same under the circumstances: 35.9 percent said yes, 19.23 percent said no, and 44.87 percent said it "depends on how clean it is."

The expectations are high for Moyse and Humphries, who won this season's World Cup title in addition to their gold medals in 2010. The pair could dominate and win Canada's first medal this year at the Sanki Sliding Center.

They are expected to compete in Sochi at 11:15 a.m. local time.

Moyse competes in bobsledding, rugby, soccer and track as a multi-sport athlete.
