Henry Cavill Kaley Cuoco Break Up, Remain Friends

Henry Cavill and Kaley Cuoco already ended their brief romance this week.

Rumors of the actors' dating arose after Cuoco posted a message about Cavill's latest film "Man of Steel."

Then, the stars confirmed that they were dating after being spotted hiking, eating and holding hands in Los Angeles over the past week and a half.

However, Cuoco and Cavill have called it off, according to E! News. Just as speculation over their romance began, the actors are reportedly planning to remain friends after the few dates they shared.

Initially proving her interest in Cavill, Cuoco took to her Twitter account about his latest film "Man of Steel."

"Everyone go see "man of steel." It's fantastic in every single way," wrote the 27-year-old star, adding a photo of herself beneath a poster for the Superman flick which featured Cavill.

"The Big Bang Theory" actress was then rumored to be "getting to know" Cavill, according to sources close to the pair.

"They were both single and started dating recently," an insider told People magazine earlier this month. "It's just the beginning stages of a relationship and they're having a great time."

Meanwhile, Cuoco has been linked to her "Big Bang" co-star Johnny Galecki, Josh Resnick and musician Bret Bollinger in the past.

Alternately, 30-year-old Cavill just split from "Fast & Furious 6" star Gina Carano in early May.

Despite sharing just a fleeting romance, Cavill and Cuoco are not the only Hollywood A-listers to experience a short-lived relationship.

Furthermore, many celebrities have seen the world's shortest marriages; including Britney Spears who married Jason Alexander just to have it annulled a mere 55 hours later.

Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra also saw a brief marriage of just nine days in 1998.

More recently, Kim Kardashian was married to Kris Humphries for an infamous 72 days in 2011.
