Henry Cavill news: 'Superman' says he's 'more of a relationship guy'

Henry Cavill's most recent interview with Cosmopolitan may come as a shock to some fans as the "Superman" star revealed that he isn't dating that much and is "more of a relationship guy."

In the interview, Cavill said he "was a pretty awkward kid and really didn't have girls fancying me. My first kiss was outside a dance when I was 12, and it was one snog and out!"

The statement came unexpected for the actor's millions of fans who always thought that he was the kind who was popular with the girls. Cavill says his "awkward" past is somehow getting buried now that many outlets are referring to him as a desirable and eligible bachelor.

The "Man from U.N.C.L.E." star also said he prefers confident women who are definitely comfortable "in their skin," adding that he is a total sucker for "someone who hasn't got a front on."

The actor's statements somehow took ladies on the Internet as some expressed their hopes of getting the attention of the superhero who wants a woman that doesn't pretend to be someone else.

The actor also shared how he is the kind of guy who doesn't immediately tread the dance floor when he visits a place with music. He would enjoy a dance after a few drinks but he surely is "no John Travolta by any means." This means the hunk likes women who can take a couple of drinks and could play drinking games.

When asked about his thoughts on women being introduced more these days in film and television, Cavill said he is happy for the superwomen slowly getting more attention in the eyes of the masses. He particularly focused on Wonder Woman, calling her counterpart "an incredibly strong character." He even mentioned that the goddess can actually "go toe-to-toe" with his character sometimes.

Cavill will be starring in DC's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which is set for release on March 25, 2016.
