'Heroes of the Storm' News: Ana Now Available in the PTR, Learn More About What She Is Capable of

Ana will remain in the game's PTR until Sept. 25

Not long after she was confirmed as the newest addition to "Heroes of the Storm's" roster, developers have now made the support sniper known as Ana playable via the game's Public Test Realm.

Blizzard fans may already know Ana pretty well as one of the heroes featured in "Overwatch." But now, her skills have been recalibrated so that she can work well inside the Nexus too.

Ana is still primarily a support-oriented character even in her new surroundings, as evidenced by her Primary and Heroic Abilities.

First on the list of Ana's abilities is her Biotic Grenade. The Biotic Grenade is something that is capable of doing a little bit of good and also deals some damage. Specifically, allies in the range of the Biotic Grenade's explosion will be healed while enemies reached by it will be damaged.

If the Biotic Grenade is not enough on its own to bring an ally back to good health, Ana can then also use her Healing Dart to get the job done. Upon hitting an ally, the Healing Dart will restore up to 250 hit points.

Ana can also fire the Sleep Dart inside "Heroes of the Storm" to instantly get an enemy to doze off for a little bit.

Ana's Nano Boost is perhaps her most potent support-oriented ability as it can significantly increase an allied hero's spell power, restore some mana points and even lower the cooldown times for that character's basic abilities.

The last of Ana's abilities is known as the Eye of Horus, and this one can provide healing that restores up to 300 hit points while also taking up to 175 off an enemy's health bar.

Players will be able to try out Ana's abilities in the PTR up to Sept. 25.

Following her stay in the PTR, Ana is expected to be released for the live version of "Heroes of the Storm."
