On the next episode of "Heroes Reborn" entitled "Under the Mask" the official synopsis explains that Tommy finds comfort sharing his ability with Emily; Miko's rescue mission hits obstacles in Japan; Noah seeks the truth; and Malina is guided by an unseen force. Also, the powerful woman behind a global conglomerate reveals her plans to protect the world from Evos; and Luke and Joanne continue on their deadly mission.
In the preview for the episode the leader of the powerful Renatus company Erica Kravid will be introduced. She is expected to be the villain who will target the Evos in order to protect the humans. Miko continues her search for her missing father while Luke and Joanne will continue their mission of vengeance using Noah Bennet's car and his information. Emily and Tommy's friendship will deepen as Tommy gains popularity.
The pilot episode began with Noah Bennet as he left a voicemail for his daughter Claire. There was a unity summit between the Evos and Humans. Then the summit got blown up and Noah woke up to immense destruction.

A year later a group of Evos had been secretly meeting. Tommy left the meeting early. The other Evos were slaughtered by a vigilante couple named Luke and Joanne. A mysterious man had been following Tommy and helping him.
Noah now had another boring job selling Cadillacs. Carlos was introduced as a hero with something to hide. Miko was a Japanese girl who had been looking for her missing father. Quentin had been following Noah because he thought that Noah had some answers.
Carlos discovered that Oscar was the masked hero that people looked up to. He also discovered that Oscar had powers and was helping other Evos escape through an underground tunnel. Luke and Joanne tried to kill Tommy but he used his power to make them disappear.
Emily kept Tommy's secret and after Tommy does her boyfriend Brad a huge favor by getting rid of the latter's step-father he promised him protection. Molly Walker was now an adult. The episode ends with Miko when she entered the Yamagoto tower.
