'High School Musical 4' Updates: Vanessa Hudgens To Return On One Condition

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed that she is willing to reprise her role as Gabriela Montes in the already announced "High School Musical 4" if her one condition is met.

It has been more than a year since "High School Musical 4" was announced, but it remains unclear as to when the TV-movie will arrive. Apart from the uncertainty of its release date, though, fans are also left in limbo as to whether the fourth installment of the TV special will throw some of the original cast members into the mix, including Hudgens, who earned her piece of stardom through the three "High School Musical" projects that she did.

However, according to recent reports, Hudgens has said that she will only agree to return to the latest "High School Musical" project if its story will be about the fan-made video featuring the six major stars of the first three "High School Musical" projects. As seen on the said unofficial teaser, the fan's version of "High School Musical 4" features several clips from the original cast members' work after their stint on "High School Musical."

According to Hudgens, she loved the concept of the fan-made video that she even discussed it with fellow "High School Musical" star and best friend in real life, Ashley Tisdale, who agreed with her to return for another "High School Musical" project if its story would run on the concept of the said video.

When "High School Musical 4" was announced in March 2016, it was revealed that the upcoming TV-movie will feature a whole new set of cast members. However, fans have been clamoring to bring back Hudgens and former real-life and on-screen partner Zac Efron into the project even just for a cameo.

While there were rumors claiming that Efron would reprise his Troy Bolton role as a basketball coach this time, and Hudgens' Gabriela Montes would be a teacher, the actress has earlier said in an interview that she refuses to breathe life to a role of a teacher as she is still a kid at heart.
