Holly Holm father says Ronda Rousey was "scared to death" before UFC 193
Holly Holm's father Roger has spoken up about his daughter's victory at UFC 193.
"The Preacher's Daughter" scored a sensational second round knock out victory over the woman considered as the "most dominant athlete alive". Holm now becomes the second women's bantamweight champion in UFC history, since Rousey won the belt in 2012.
Unlike when Rousey fought Bethe Correia in Brazil, there was no prior animosity between her and Holm leading up to the fight. Everything suddenly changed, however, merely a day before the fight at the weigh-ins.

A seemingly furious Rousey got too close to Holm during their face-off that a brawl nearly broke loose. "Rowdy" then went on to further fan the flames through a post-weigh in Instagram video she posted, calling Holm "fake".
"Fake ass cheap shotting fake respect fake humility bitch - "preacher's daughter" my ass - I see through your fake sweet act now - you're getting your ass kicked tomorrow, and I'm really going to enjoy the beating I give you #andSTILL," Rousey wrote.
According to Holm's father, who spoke to Submission Radio after the event, Rousey's comments were the reflection of her fear going into the fight.
"That was Ronda scared to death. She knew something like this was down the pipe," the elder Holm said. "Ronda was trying to get her confidence back. Holly exposed Ronda, just in the realness of a fighter."
"And I think that that was tip, like - Holly started winning fans over here just because they know she's just a down, good to earth person," he continued. "And maybe that was Ronda's way of trying to paint Holly in a light that gave her confidence, but it didn't work."
For her part, the new champion simply asked Rousey's detractors to cut the trash talk.
"I think people can be pretty brutal, and when you're in the spot shes in, there are people that are just going to jump ship and I don't ever wish for that," Holm told TMZ Sports. "I have a lot of respect for her."
