Holly Holm News: UFC champion describes Floyd Mayweather as the "greatest of all time", "Money May" issues heartfelt response

UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm has been enjoying a newfound superstar status after knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 on November 15th.

Recently, she was a guest of honor at the Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez bout at the Mandalay Bay Resorts & Casino. Alvarez, who was a decade younger than Cotto, won by a wide margin via unanimous decision, eventually earning him the WBC, lineal and Ring Magazine world middleweight titles.

In an interview with Fight Hype, "The Preacher's Daughter" spoke about the recently concluded "Mexico vs. Puerto Rico" 160-pound super fight. A former professional boxer herself, Holm says she did get what she expected from the very beginning.

"One thing that I was hoping about the fight, and kind of expecting, was a good fight," Holm said. "I feel like it was such a good fight. Boxing misses that sometimes, and I'm super excited to just be here and be part of the energy. It's been awesome."

In another report by FOX Sports, Holm spoke about how her life has changed since that historic night. Apart from attending major sporting events, she has been appearing in talk shows, conducting interviews. For her part, Holm says she is simply enjoying the perks that come with being a recognized UFC champion.

"It's very surreal," Holm said. "I don't think I'll ever get to where it's not exciting. I love meeting new people. It was such an honor to meet and be able to hang out with Jamie Foxx. I mean who gets to do that? I've always been a fan of him and I love to get to know people outside of filming or outside of what you see on TV."

During the Cotto-Canelo fight, Holm also had the chance to have a few minutes of face time with undefeated welterweight great Floyd Mayweather Jr, a fighter whom she described as the "greatest of all-time".

"Just to be able to meet one of the greatest, I mean, the greatest of all time, you know? He's the only one that's ever been able to do it undefeated," Holm said of "Money May".

Mayweather did acknowledge Holm's statement by thanking her through Twitter.

"I want to thank @hollyholm for the kind words. Congrats on your success," Mayweather wrote.
