Sarah Palin and Hollywood stepped into the boxing ring for another round on Tuesday.

The former vice presidential candidate attended the premiere of Stephen Bannon’s documentary “The Undefeated” in Pella, Iowa, on Tuesday. The film, which largely portrays Palin in a positive light, opens with a montage of celebrities bashing Palin and her family.

Palin told the Hollywood Reporter that she was shocked to see celebrities like Matt Damon, Madonna, and David Letterman slam her in the first 10 minutes of the film. According to the Reporter, it was the first time Palin had seen the film in its entirety and seemed bewildered by the level of hatred shown by the celebrities.

"It kind of takes you back," she said to the Reporter. "It makes you want to reach out to some of these folks and say, 'What's your problem? And what was the problem? And what is the problem?'"

"What would make a celebrity, like you saw on screen, so hate someone that they'd seek their destruction? ... What would make someone be so full of hate and, I guess, a sense of being threatened that they would want to see that person destroyed?"

The opening sequence showcases Letterman calling Palin “slutty,” Bill Maher saying she is a “dumb tw*t,” and Madonna screaming “Sarah [expletive] Palin” on stage. Matt Damon compares her to a “really bad Disney movie.” The celebrities, according to the Reporter, seem genuinely angry and use the most explicit and vulgar language to describe the former Alaska governor, including lots of profane references to the female anatomy. Most of the language was severely bleeped in the film.

Twice during the montage, Bannon cuts to news footage of Palin being hung in effigy.

As the opening sequence comes to an end, a Bible verse is displayed, "By their fruits ye shall know them."

After the film, which is about her rise as governor and vice presidential candidate, The Hollywood Reporter asked Palin how she responds to the celebrities trashing her. Palin replies, "I mean, there are so many false narratives about me, about Todd, about our kids, about my record, about my team that has worked so hard together, that there's never gonna be a way to absolutely set the record straight."
