'Homeland' Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 3 'Shalwar Kammez' Recap

Season four, episode three of the CIA drama series "Homeland" showed Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) on her first day working in Pakistan. After some grueling confrontation with CIA director Andrew Lockhart (Tracy Letts), Carrie arrived in Islambad to begin her task as station chief.

What she found there isn't what she expected. The entire embassy was locked down and that made it impossible for her to dig in some clues about Sandy Bachman's (Corey Stoll) death.

The new seat wasn't that pleasant for the CIA agent either. Michael O'Keefe's John Redmond was obviously irritated to learn that Carrie had taken the job that, as he felt, was intended for him.

On another side, Carrie formed a secondary team in Pakistan to gain more intel about the recent bombing mishap. She assigned Fara Sharazi (Nazanin Binadi) to seduce Aayan Ibrahim (Suraj Sharma), one of the wedding bomber survivors, to dish out some information. The plan failed and Carrie took over.

Carrie, under the guise of a journalist, told Aayan, "You're in trouble Aayan. You are part of an important story. I want to be the one to tell it."

Although disinterested, Aayan was later on tempted with the offer of protection as well as the promise of medical education outside of the country.

Meanwhile, Quinn (Rupert Friend) talked with Langley to discuss his resignation from the agency.

"I just want out. I'm done," Quinn said.

Later on, Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) called Quinn in a motel room accusing him of letting his feelings for Carrie affect his duties.

"We both know the real explanation for this. This isn't about PTSD, this is about your feelings for Carrie Mathison. If she hadn't been in that car Sandy Beckham would have been alive today,"Adal told Quinn. The latter aptly denied the statement.

"You took your eyes off Sandy to save Carrie. You left him to be beaten to death in the street!" Dar broke out, which also aggravated the agent -- he nearly choked him to death.

"Well done, Peter," Dar said to Quinn. "I knew you weren't that far gone ... Have a nice life."

Quinn later on met with Carrie to assist her on her investigations about Sandy's death. He told her his discovery, which Carrie greatly appreciated.

"This changes everything. This means I really need you now," Carrie said. "I wouldn't ask you if there wasn't someone else here I could count on. Don't make me beg."

"Homeland" Season 4 airs every Sunday, at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
