'Homeland' fans have been wondering if there would really be a romantic connection to develop between Claire Danes' Carrie Mathison and Rupert Friend's Peter Quinn.

IB Times, which cited TV Line, pointed out that there is going to be a "major movement" in Carrie and Quinn's storyline.

"... Quinn is forced to confront his true feelings for Carrie (and the collateral damage those feelings have incurred)," the site was quoted.

On top of that, it is also hinted that Carrie will have an "impromptu confession" that she, later on, will regret.
Meanwhile, a sneak peek for the upcoming episode showed Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) explaining to Quinn that the reason behind his thought of quitting the CIA isn't really about PTSD but about the brooding feelings he had for Carrie.

The black SOG/SAD operative took the accusation negatively and almost choked the retired Adal to death.
"Well done, Peter. I knew you weren't that far gone," Adal reacted at Quinn's reaction.

For Carrie's arc, it is said that she will be recruiting an important asset. According to spoilers, this particular asset will help her know the truth about Sandy Bachman (Corey Stoll) and his sources. This informant will also reveal to the CIA officer what took place before the tragic drone attack.

Speculation about who this key asset will be suggests that he/she could be one of the survivors named Aayan Ibrahim.

'Homeland' Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
