Honey Boo Boo's mom was the target of DWTS rumors recently with some suggesting that the reality TV star was being lined up as a contestant on the upcoming season of hit dance show Dancing With the Stars.
Rumors were sparked by a New York Daily News report that suggested an ABC network insider had told them June Shannon, aka Mama June on TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," was being lined up as a contestant for the upcoming series.
The ABC hit show brings together a host of famous celebrities and TV personalities to take part in a dance competition with a dancer voted out each week.
However, despite Mama June being connected to the show in the recent rumors, a rep for TLC has reportedly told the Huffington Post that those there are no truth to those rumors, and that June Shannon would not be appearing on the dance show.
That has thrown cold water on the hot rumors surrounding Honey Boo Boo's mom, and it is unsure whether there is any truth to the rumors surrounding other celebrities named in the New York Daily News report.
According to the NY Daily News, alongside June Shannon, other TV personalities were also being lined up including Kourtney Kardashian and Emily Maynard, as well as other stars including Victor Ortiz.
The new cast of "Dancing With the Stars" will officially be announced on Tuesday Feb. 26 on morning talk show, "Good Morning America."
Just recently over the Christmas period, Honey Boo Boo's holiday photo became an instant hit online among her fans, who complimented her long neon green hair extensions seen in the picture.
The Christmas photo was taken at Smiley's Flea Market and Yard Sale in Georgia in December, and shows Honey Boo Boo looking happy posing with her family.
Many have complimented the photo for its natural and honest style.
"That's lovely – they look like any other family having a fun day out together," posted BjornJohn77 on Facebook.
