Hot Toys Reveals Fully-Costumed Space Troopers (VIDEO)

Hot Toys unveiled its special feature during the Star Wars Celebration over the weekend introducing its exclusive Space Trooper collectible.

A new and exclusive Space Trooper collectible figure made its debut during the Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center in California that ran from April 17 to 19.

First seen in "Star Wars: A New Hope," the variation to the Storm Trooper has been reported to be exclusive only to the Stars Wars celebration. However the high-end toy collectible brand informed fans a number of local distributors were open for pre-orders.

Designed to be able to withstand Zero-G environments, the Space Trooper characters made their first appearance when the Millennium Falcon was captured by the Death Star in the film.

Highly accurate based on images of Space Troopers from Episode IV, the collectible figure is sized 1/6th in scale, or 30 cm. tall, with intricately crafted helmet and armor and up to 30 points of articulation.

The figure carries a highly detailed rebreather pack complete with detachable parts, two styles of blasters, and a figure stand with its own nameplate specially designed to hold it up. It also comes complete with eight interchangeable hands and thermal detonators.

According to Hot Toys, the Space Trooper collectible figures are scheduled to be released in stores in the latter half of the year to coincide with the premiere of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens."

During the Star Wars Celebration, other collectible figures were also unveiled, including Kotobukiya's droid versions of K-3PO and R3-A2, and Funko's vinyl Bobblehead Darth Vader, R2-Q5, a red shock trooper, and an E-3PO.

Games developer, Entertainment Arts also teased its new "Star Wars: Battlefront" game during the conference, revealing fans' first look at a new Storm Trooper.
