'House of Cards' Season 4 Spoilers: Will Frank Kill Claire After Their Separation?

"House of Cards" season 4 will feature more tension and trouble headed Frank Underwood's way, and there are rumors saying he might decide to kill his wife Claire after she decided to leave him.

In the finale of the previous season, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) decided to leave Frank (Kevin Spacey). In "House of Cards" season 4, the impending divorce may leave a negative streak on his campaign, but he will have to push through with his campaign for the 2016 elections as a bachelor, according to Design & Trend.

Now that Claire has thrown in the towel, fans are speculating that Frank may resort to murder just to tip things in his favor. It can be remembered that he killed his lover Zoe Barns (Kate Mara) in season 2 by pushing her under a running train. In the last season, things have gotten so heated between the Underwoods that they have come to the point where they hurt each other physically, the report recalls.

Despite rumors that Frank will have Claire killed off in season 4, showrunner Beau Willimon assured fans that she will stick around for some time. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in an interview, Willimon said Claire will have to think carefully about her next move, which may see her running for political office or going back to her nonprofit world, the report relays.

Meanwhile, two new spoilers for the fourth installment of the series were released. The first one, titled "Putting America Back on Track," shows a bouquet of flowers lying on train tracks before moving on to Frank's re-election campaign message, Enstars reports.

The second teaser, titled "The Leader We Deserve," shows Frank delivering a speech from his office and trying to convince America that he should be re-elected as president. As he speaks from the White House, flashbacks of his evil acts are seen on the screen.

"It's a new day in America, today more people will go to work, return to their families and sleep more soundly than ever before all because one man refuses to settle, putting people before politics," the voice-over in the clip says. "That man is Frank Underwood."

"House of Cards" season 4 will begin streaming on Mar. 4 on Netflix.
