Donald Sloan helped with 17 points, while Roy Hibbert added 12 of his own. Unfortunately, he only had four rebounds in the contest and played only 19 minutes in the game, leaving Howard to dominate in the middle.
As it stands, the Pacers are 10th in the East but are still in playoff contention as they are only 0.5 games behind the Charlotte Hornets, who are eighth.
They have hit a rough patch in their recent games as they are suffering a five-game losing streak. More importantly, these losses have come against Eastern conference teams such as the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, the Rockets are third in the West and are 1.5 games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers. They had a three game win streak snapped in a 117-102 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
