Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys is one of the biggest games on Thursday night in Week 4 of the NFL Preseason 2013 match ups. This is the last game for both teams before the regular season gets started in September, and there's nothing like a big local clash to get the blood boiling as things get down to business. This explosive game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Texans come into this clash with a preseason record of 2-1. After two confident victories over Minnesota and Miami, their defense was too easily breached too many times last week against New Orleans, and they fell to a 23-31 loss at home.
They will want to get back to winning ways tonight as they continue their preparations for their opening game on the road to San Diego on Sept. 9.
So far the Texans have been devastating in their pass offense, averaging 321.3 yards on pass per game, which ranks them number 1 in the NFL this preseason.
Offensively they have recorded a massive 450 yards per game, which again ranks them number 1 in the NFL through Week 3 of the preseason.
However, they will meet stiff resistance tonight in the Dallas Cowboys, who enter this game with a record of 2-2 this preseason (with the first game being a Hall of Fame game against the Miami Dolphins). The Cowboys have been impressive in periods through their preseason showings so far, but have been far more inconsistent than they would have liked.
Following a 24-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in the Hall of Fame game, they went on to lose two straight games against Oakland and Arizona, only recording 24 points across the two games. They corrected things to an extent last week when they managed a 24-18 win over Cincinnati, but what has been clearly apparent is that there is a lot more work to do for the Cowboys before their season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 8.
