How Can I Be Loyal to God?

A faithful man will be richly blessed . . . Proverbs 28:20

Jason was a Christian. He wanted to be loyal to God. Matt sat right behind him at school. He poked Jason with a pencil, sneered at him and whispered, "Don't get mad, Jason. If you're a Christian, you'll forgive me!" Then, he poked him again and laughed.

What would you do if someone like Matt teased you because you are a Christian? It takes strength greater than your own to stay loyal to God. God can give " . . . grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
Loyal Christians read the Bible and pray each day. They go to church faithfully. It is easier to stay loyal to God when you spend time with other Christians. Christian friends help each other live for God. The real test of your loyalty to God is your obedience to Him.

It will be hard for you to be loyal to God if you have close friends who do not love and serve God. That's why Jason did not choose Matt for a close friend. But Jason and his friends pray for Matt. That pleases God. Be loyal to God and obey Him with all of your heart.
