ABC's instant murder mystery drama TV series "How To Get Away With Murder" is now edging closer towards the premiere of its highly-anticipated second season this month but recent updates are still coming over, the latest of which was reported by Variety.com. Meanwhile, the show's boss seemed to confirm Rebecca's reappearance.

Citing the details provided over at Shondaland, the publication said that the Amy Okuda will be joining the show in a recurring role for Season 2. The actress' part is still being kept under wraps as of the moment.

In the meantime, this latest TV scoop from Entertainment Weekly may confirm the state of Katie Findlay's Rebecca.

"You will see her again in Season 2 alive," executive producer Pete Nowalk teased (via EW). The publication, however, points out that this doesn't necessarily mean "alive" in the present time. EW speculated that Nowalk would have likely meant that she'd be appearing via flashbacks.

One thing is for sure, HTGAWM fans will get to learn the identity of Rebecca's killer sooner than what is expected.

According to a separate spoiler report from EW, viewers will get to find out who killed Wes' (Alfred Enoch) emo girlfriend right in the season 2 premiere.

Speaking of premiere, Viola Davis previously told Deadline (via iDigital Times) that the Season 2 will definitely "start off with a bang."

"A lot of the mysteries will be solved and answered, and then absolutely a new one will be presented. It's just so complicated and fascinating, and that happens in the first episode," says the actress who plays Professor Annalise Keating in the show.

Fans will also get to learn "more insight into the past of every character" in the series which would lend some understanding as to "why these people have been put together in some kind of weird cosmic way."

"How to Get Away With Murder" Season 2 opens September 24 on ABC.
