'How To Get Away With Murder' News: Season 2B To Feature ADA Emily Sinclair Storyline

ABC's hit legal drama TV series "How To Get Away With Murder" is currently on hiatus but details about the second-half of its season 2 is still rolling over.

The latest update, cited over at TVLine, indicated that season 2B will feature storylines that focus on the death of Assistant District Attorney Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns).

According to executive producer Pete Nowalk, viewers should expect forensic experts guest starring on the show. Apparently, they will be looking further in the murder of the high-profile victim. However, it won't be a guarantee that the investigation will be a breeze.

"Still, what I've learned from real law-enforcement people who talk to us is that forensic science is actually very much up to interpretation. Annalise [Viola Davis], as a defense attorney, know that creating a mess at the scene is the best strategy. But whether it works or not, we'll find out very quickly," he told the media outlet.

The showrunner went on to add that fans might not only get a clearer grasp on Sinclair's death, but also on her well-kept hidden personal life, things such as if she was married or engaged to someone.

Although she has appeared in many instances on the Shonda drama, what viewers only know of the character is that she's a hard-nosed ADA who hailed from Connecticut.

In the same scoop item from TVLine, it has been revealed that Season 2B will be casting three guest stars who will be appearing in recurring roles as the "super-rich" George and Beverly Mahoney and their "Ivy League-educated" son, Charles. There's also a possibility that these characters will recur further into the reported Season 3.

Could the newcomers be the law professor's new big clients? Or did the trio somehow share a connection to Emily Sinclair?

Find out more when "How To Get Away With Murder" season 2 returns to the small screens this Feb. 11, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
