How to Share Your Faith Using Cell Phone Technology

Have you ever thought about how amazing cell phone technology is? I mean, really thought about it? Someone can be thousands of miles away and with no physical connection by wires or cables, their cell phone call inserts them into your life instantly! When you really think about it, it's pretty wild...

Cell phones work because the air around us is full of 'airwaves' that we can't physcially see - and not just cell phones, but WiFi/radio/TV. But unless you have the right equipment (a cell phone) and know how to tune in (a service provider), you wouldn't even know these special 'airwaves' were there - invisible, but very real and available. In an odd way, the spiritual dimension of life is somewhat similar. There really is an invisible spiritual world surrounding you, but unless you have the right equipment and know how to tune in to it, it's easy to live your life oblivious to this unseen God dimension.

What's the right equipment for tuning in to God? A relationship with God, through his Son Jesus. With Jesus in our lives, God can communicate with us through prayer, the Bible and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

So how can you share your faith using cell phone technology? Instead of talking on the phone, try talking about it. Sometime when you're with your friends and you see a cell phone just laying there, launch into a conversation about unseen realities. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

- Have you ever really thought about how amazing cell phone technology is? Think back for a minute to long before any kind of phone technology existed. How wild would it seem if someone told you they could invisibly send your voice through the air to be heard somewhere thousands of miles away?
- Just like there's an invisible airwaves realm, have you ever thought about there being an invisible spiritual realm that we need to be tuned in to?
- Find out if your friends believe there's a God and if so, ask them what they think He is like. Share what you believe about how to tune in to God. Share what you believe about Jesus' gift of salvation opening up your relationship with God and allowing you to communicate with Him through prayer and through the Bible.

In the spiritual realm, it's up to us to "turn on" the equipment God's provided for us and help others do the same. Otherwise we'll stumble around, oblivious to the unseen spiritual dimension of the world around us and miss out on much of what God has created us to experience - including His gift of eternal life!
