'How to Train Your Dragon 3' News: Toothless To Leave Hiccup?

In what could be the saddest plot theory ever revealed in "How to Train Your Dragon 3," it is said that Toothless will decide to abandon his best friend to become the strong and mighty Alpha dragon that his troop recognize him for.

Fans were mostly disheartened when news first broke that the third and final installment in the "How to Train Your Dragons" franchise will most likely see the end of dragons and man interacting with each other.

Just recently, a new theory emerged, suggesting that Toothless will be cutting all ties between him and Hiccup. The rumor suggests that Hiccup will also have to say good-bye to Toothless as the new chief of his tribe. Toothless has also become the head of the dragons, following Drago's defeat.

In the previous installments, Hiccup was portrayed as the kind of hero who needs a specific chaotic situation so he can release the fighter in him. If Toothless indeed decides to bid him good-bye, the pressure will only be greater as it was revealed in earlier reports that Drago will return with a new villain to help him destroy the people and dragons that took him down.

Director Dean DeBlois said earlier this year that the movie will end where the books began. The books that turned into movies were created by Cressida Crowell, and in the first book, Hiccup tells the story of how dragons were around when he was a boy. The reality seemed to have taken fans aback as DeBlois statements only mean that dragons will be forever gone in the third installment.

While Toothless' abandonment of Hiccup is a big blow if it turns out to be true, it may also pose for a new saga that will bring about a more mature and brave Hiccup who will do everything in his power to save his people.

"How to Train Your Dragon 3" releases on June 29, 2018.
