HTC Desire 828 Release Date, Specs News: Hitting China Soon as Android Phone Appears at TENAA

HTC may be struggling to find its place in the Android food chain, but that does not mean that the company is not doing anything to make things right. In another attempt to woo the Chinese market, the Taiwanese manufacturer will soon launch another Desire smartphone.

According to a report by Phone Arena, that unannounced device has just appeared and passed through TENAA certification, which is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC in the United States.

Dubbed as the HTC Desire 828w, the Android-powered smartphone will boast a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a 2GB RAM, an octa-core CPU running at 1.5GHz, and a 16GB built-in storage.

Other specs as leaked by the TENAA listing include a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP front shooter, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The HTC Desire 828w will have a redesigned front with its BoomSound stereo speakers.

For interested buyers in China, the device will come with a single and double SIM version. Unfortunately, there are no details yet regarding pricing.

As the mobile industry enters the second half of the year, expect HTC to launch a "super hero phone," as mentioned by the company's CEO in a press conference last month.
