HTC News: HTC To Launch Next Flagship On April 11 In London, But Not As One M10
Last year, HTC announced that year's flagship device, the HTC One A9, at the 2015 Mobile World Congress. With the 2016 MWC just several days away, it looks like the Taiwanese company is not making an appearance at the technology conference. For most observers, this means that the company will not be launching its next flagship any time soon.
According to a Tech Times report, HTC is not planning to launch a new phone soon. Rumors about the phone's specs have been circulating online but none of it has been confirmed. With the MWC just around the corner, earlier rumors about the phone's unveiling at the event have been debunked.
Recently, a new report has come out from a Spanish language publication 4GNews which claims that HTC will be launching its next flagship on April 11 at a special event in London. An earlier report on IThome also said that HTC decided to skip the MWC because they were not yet done with the flagship device. According to 4GNews, the phone will also drop the One M10 name and will be coming with another name, which the report however failed to mention.

According to rumors about the device which is codenamed Perfume, it will have a 5.1-inch AMOLED display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it is rumored to have either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or an unnamed MediaTek chipset depending on the region where the device is released. Regardless of processor brand, the device will have 4 GB of RAM.
In terms of on-board storage, the device is said to have 32 GB of storage, which is expandable via microSD card slot. It will likely come pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Without official confirmation from HTC, consumers should carefully consider all these reports about specs and release dates before taking them as the truth.
