The HTC One Android 4.4.2, KitKat update is now rolling out for AT&T and T-Mobile.

Mo Versi, HTC's Executive Director of Product Management, confirmed earlier this week that both networks have given technical approval to the Android 4.4 update. Shortly after that, users on both carriers began reporting that they were receiving it.

"T-Mobile HTC One Owner! We have received technical approval for 4.4 OS + Sense 5.5! Expect the OTA out shortly! Thank you for your patience," tweeted Versi. "Another Great News! We have received AT&T's technical approval for the HTC One w/4.4+ Sense 5.5. Looking to get the OTA out soon."

The latest Android software brings some new features to the HTC One including the ability to turn BlinkFeed off and make changes to the gallery. There should also be a few carrier specific changes with each company.

The Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update release date has arrived for U.S. Cellular customers.

The company began offering the latest Android software OTA (over-the-air) earlier this week, and several customers have confirmed they received the update successfully.

The update is also available for the International variant of the Galaxy S4 in Russia and India. Users can check for it manually if they haven't received a notification in the Settings menu.

Both Sprint and U.S. Cellular already began rolling out the software for the Galaxy Note 3.

This new software brings minor UI changes included the use of KitKat style white status bar icons instead of the mult-colour icons found on past Samsung devices. The smartphone also received a performance boost and an increase in benchmark scores, according to a Sam Mobile report.

The lock-screen now features a camera shortcut that takes users directly to the point-and-shooter. Album art also now shows up on the entire screen when music is played.
