HTC One M9, HTC Hima Release Date: Specs, Features Review

HTC has risen to the challenge of manufacturing quality devices, with its HTC One M8 gaining lots of fans when it launched, and the device even made it into several tech websites' Top Smartphones of 2014 lists. Now, HTC is set to impress once again with its newest product, the soon to be released HTC One M9.

According to industry insider @upleaks, HTC will be doing away with the "M" codenames for its future devices, hence, the HTC One M9 will now be known as the HTC Hima. There has been no official word about the size of the phone, however, it is expected to be very slim at only 7mm thick, and @upleaks suggests that the HTC Hima will measure 144.3 x 64.9mm. The phone is said to be available in Dark Gunmetal, Gold, Silver/Gold, and Dark Gunmetal/Gold.

The HTC Hima is rumored to have a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD3 display. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chip with an octa core processor and backed by 3GB of RAM. The phone will reportedly come in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage options.

The phone is expected to have a battery with 2840mAh capacity and will run on the Android 5.0 Lollipop with the new HTC Sense 7.0 skin on top.

The HTC Hima is rumored to have a 20.7MP rear-facing camera and an impressive front-facing camera which will reportedly be a 13MP shooter.

The HTC Hima is expected to launch on March 2015, right around the same time as the 2015 Mobile World Congress which will take place on the first week of March, so it's very likely that the smartphone will make its first appearance at the event. The device is expected to cost anywhere between $750 to $900.
