HTC One M9 Release Date, Specs Rumors: HTC Flagship to Be Launched With Smartwatch
The Taiwan-based tech company, HTC Corp., hass yet to unveil its next flagship, the reported HTC One M9, in the upcoming Mobile World Congress event on March 1. But fans won't only be seeing the M8 successor.
Bloomberg reported that the forthcoming device will arrive with an "improved camera and audio features," and also with its first wearable companion.
Aptly named the M9, the smartphone will hit the shelves with a 20-megapixel rear camera which is to be coupled with their proprietary HTC UltraPixel front snapper. The unnamed source for Bloomberg went on to say that the companion device will link with Under Armour Inc.'s fitness service.
HTC and the popular sports clothing and accessories company announced their partnership at CES this month.
Bloomberg also indicated that the HTC One M9 will run on an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The device will also include the Dolby 5.1 audio technology and HTC's latest Sense 7 Android UI that features a more "improved location-based services."
Just like the previous HTC One M8, the next generation device will don a similar size, design and color including gold, gray and silver options.
HTC is slated to release both the smartphone and the smartwatch in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona where other giant phone makers like Samsung, Huawei, and LG will also be showcasing their latest mobile technology innovations.
The news outlet however noted that HTC hasn't released a statement to confirm or debunk the claims.
