It's a battle of the flagship phones as HTC's newly released One M9 goes head to head with the Apple iPhone 6 Plus in this review. Both phones have an elegant and stylish build and premium specs, but which phone will come out on top?

Design:
Both phones have metal bodies that are crafted well, but while the Apple phone has a smooth finish, the back of the HTC device has a brushed metal effect. The iPhone 6 Plus has the same premium feel as the iPhone 6 and it measures 6.22 x 3.06 x 0.28 inches and weighs 6.07 ounces. It's available in silver, gold, and space gray and features a fingerprint scanner built in the home key.

Meanwhile, the HTC phone measures 5.69 x 2.74 x 0.37 inches and weighs 5.5 ounces. The edge of the phone has a slightly different color than the back panel, which gives a dual tone effect. Color variations include a gold edge around a silver body, a silver edge around a dark grey body, and a gold body with a black edge.

Features:
The iPhone 6 Plus has a bigger screen at 5.5 inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 versus the HTC device's 5-inch display with the same resolution.

The HTC phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 skin on top, while the Apple device has an Apple A8 dual core processor and runs on iOS 8.

The One M9 has 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with a micro SD card, while the Apple iPhone 6 Plus comes in several internal storage options from 16GB to 128GB.

The iPhone 6 Plus has an 8MP rear facing camera and 1.2MP front shooter, while the One M9 has a 20MP rear camera and 4MP front camera.

Price:
The iPhone 6 Plus costs $749, while the HTC One M9 is expected to cost $870 once it goes on sale.
