HTC One Sense 6.0 Update Coming by the End of May

The HTC One Sense 6.0 update is expected to arrive to smartphone users by the end of May.

HTC USA President Jason Mackenzie announced that Sense 6 will roll out to the original One model at the end of next month via Twitter.

"Reminder that Sense6 will push to current HTC One users by end of May," he said.

The update is guaranteed for users in Canada and the U.S. No announcement has been made by HTC on the company's website at this time. Exact roll out dates are also unavailable. This is most likely due to difficulties the phone company might run into while trying to get certification from individual carriers.

Mackenzie also told One users to keep their eyes on the HTC Software Updates page which is currently not displaying any info, but is expected to post something up soon.

"Sense 6 upgrade status for HTC One users in the U.S. and Canada can be found at htc.com/us/go/htc-soft… Site will be updated soon," he said.

The new update enables the use of the new Blinkfeed Launcher that HTC uploaded to the Google Play Store recently. HTC One users will also be able to take advantage of rapid updates in the future. The new version of Sense could end up being released with Android 4.4.3 which recently rolled out for the Nexus 5. That still remains to be seen.

The HTC One M8 on Verizon could be launching in red soon.

Reliable leaker @evleaks posted this leaked information on its Twitter account earlier this month. The leak was not accompanied by a photo or image. This red variant will be known as Glamour Red and will join the three official colors that includes Gunmetal Grey, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold.
