HTC One X+ Specifications Leak, Device to Succeed Original One X

Specifications for the HTC One X+ smartphone were revealed by an XDA Developer recently.

This device will be the successor to the original HTC One X that launched with Ice Cream Sandwich earlier this year.

According to the leaked information, the new handset will measure 134.36 x 69.9x9.3mm and weigh 129 grams. It will also pack an Nvidia AP37 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 32GB of internal storage and 1GB RAM.

The OneX+ also is expected to run Android 4.1 JellyBean and use HTC's own Sense 4.5 UI. The battery is said to remain at 1800mAh which is not such great news for those who had power issues with the original One X.

The source responsible for the leak has a good track record when it comes to HTC devices and recently revealed that the HTC Accord will be powered by Windows Phone X8.

HTC seems to also be creating a new device that will replace its Ice Cream Sandwich-powered One V handset.

A picture of this unannounced smartphone code-named "HTC Proto" leaked last month and it is expected to be a reimagining of the One V that will receive a significant "bump up" in specifications.

The main change will be a jump from a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8225 S4 processor. The rest of the specs should remain the same as the HTC One V so this new version will still feature 512MB of RAM and a 5MP camera.

The HTC One S started to receive the OTA (over-the-air) Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich update throughout Europe last month. The update brings HTC Sense version 4.1 to the smartphone- the same software that is already available on the HTC One X.

Sense 4.1 brings big improvements to the One series, including a boost in speed that eliminates lag while using a live wallpaper.

Many of the app drawer's 3D effects have also been removed to speed things up, and it also uses a new kernel that is faster all around. Sense 4.1 is also said to be less taxing on the device's battery life.
