Huawei P10 Lite Version Expected March 31 [Specs and Features]

Huawei has officially announced its latest offering yet — the P10 Lite, a downsized version of its recently unveiled flagship, the Huawei P10.

As users would imagine, Huawei made necessary modifications on its latest top-tier release to be able to put together the affordable Lite version and to distinguish it from its big brother.

For starters, the Huawei P10 Lite is getting a slightly bigger display at 5.2-inch screen size with full high-definition (HD) resolution. The Huawei P10 has the same resolution, but only a 5.1-inch screen.

Both Huawei P10 iterations, however, share the same sleek appearance in the form of double-sided glass, metal chassis and ultra-thin bezels side bezels giving the handsets a more premium look.

The Huawei P10 Lite has under the hood the Kirin 658 processor, one of the changes made for the P10 Lite to accommodate the lower price. The original Huawei P10 is equipped with the company's latest chipset, which is the Kirin 950.

Another difference between the Huawei P10 and the Lite version lies in the camera department. The Huawei P10 sports Leica dual rear cameras.

Unfortunately, the Lite version is only getting a 12-megapixel (MP) rear-facing snapper. It will, however, get the same 8 MP front-facing camera its big brother has.

The Lite version, however, will come with 4 GB random-access memory (RAM), like its big brother, but will only have a 32 GB storage. The original offers 64 GB, but the P10 Lite users should manage since there will be a microSD card slot to allow storage expansion.

Unsurprisingly, the Huawei P10 Lite is getting a 3,000 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the flagship's 3,200 mAh. Both have quick-charging support though.

The Huawei P10 Lite will be available on March 31 for the price of £299 (or roughly US$371), almost half the price of the Huawei P10 at £549 (around US$680). Those in the United Kingdom can preorder it now on Vodafone, EE and Carphone Warehouse.
