Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed Engaged? Is Couple About to Get Engaged? Somerhalder Spotted Ring Shopping

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed appear to be inseparable since the two started dating this summer. The pair is now living together in Atlanta near the set of "The Vampire Diarie," and they have even adopted several animals and are still reportedly looking to expand their menagerie.

It seems like the couple is as smitten as ever with one another as they have been often seen and photographed getting cozy with another, and they often post sweet messages for each other on social media.

Recently, the "Twilight" actress took to Instagram to wish Somerhalder a happy birthday, and she wrote, "You have a soul that has lived for a thousand years, and a heart that gives boundlessly … You shine brighter than any light I have ever seen."

Now, it is rumored that the two are about to be engaged as Somerhalder was recently seen browsing at the Neil Lane store in Los Angeles.

According to Hollywood Life, the "Vampire Diaries" actor was seen at the posh jewelry store on Wednesday, Dec. 10, and that he reportedly spent more than an hour looking at engagement rings.

A source close to the actor told the website, "He spent a while looking at expensive, cushion cut engagement rings on the first floor—the $100,000 and up expensive."

The source also confirmed to Hollywood Life that the actor did pick a great ring and that he was "really excited" and in a "great mood."

E! News reports that this was not a spontaneous shopping trip for Somerhalder as he reportedly called the store in advance to let them know that he was coming in. It was also suggested that the store may have been shut down since there was no one seen entering or exiting the shop while he was there.
