Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed News: Couple Goes on Vacation With Reed's Brother
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are going strong as they headed to the mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho over Christmas for some quality time together. The two had Reed's brother, Nathan, in tow during their holiday getaway.
Somerhalder took to Instagram to share a selfie with his girlfriend and wrote, "No filter for this sunny Sun Valley day of awesomeness with my loves, the incredible @iamnikkireed and my brother @nathanaugustreed. The Happiest of holidays to everyone, may nothing but smiles, family time and reflection come from these moments."
Reed also shared a video on Instagram and captioned it, "My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain—I'm so overwhelmed by all of the beauty that surrounds us."

The two sparked dating rumors when they were photographed at several farmers' markets in and around Los Angeles in August. Earlier this month, it was rumored that Somerhalder was about to propose to Reed as he was spotted shopping at a Neil Lane store, which is famous for their beautiful engagement rings.
Before their vacation, Reed recently spoke to E! News about her holiday plans.
"I want my family to be all together, which I think is going to happen for the first time in a long time," said the "Twilight" actress. "I grew up without a lot of money…and so when that's the circumstances, you kind of figure out what you're going to do at the last second and it usually just involves [something] like dog piling on the living room floor."
Now that Reed is able to take her family on vacations, the actress said that she was planning to do something nice for them for the holidays.
"I make it a point to do something really special. My father and his family, we've all gone skiing or last year we went to the Dominican Republic and this year we're going back to the snow. It's a lot of family time," she said.
Somerhalder is currently on his sixth season as Damon Salvatore on "The Vampire Diaries," while Reed will be appearing in the 2015 film "The Highway is for Gamblers" which also stars Joe Jonas and "Harry Potter" star Bonnie Wright.
