Each tablet in the line also features a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM which should make them some of the fastest devices in the market.

The 10-inch Excite will launch in May 2012 for $449 for the 16GB model, $529 for the 32GB model, and $649 for the 64GB model. The 7-inch Excite will launch in June for $499 for the 16GB model and $579 for the 32GB model. And finally, the 13-inch model will also be released in June for $649 for the 32GB model and $749 for the 64GB model.

The 13-inch version debuted at this year's Consumer Electronics Show that took place in Las Vegas.

"One size does not fit all, so we are carefully considering how and where people are using tablets and designing form factors to best suit various needs," said Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc, Digital Products Division.

"With amazingly thin and light designs, our new Excite family of tablets continues to incorporate what consumers have come to love about Toshiba tablets: essential ports for a more complete tablet computing experience plus durability that ensures they can go the distance," added Pinto.

The tablets will also have screens made with Gorilla Glass that will make them hard to scratch or crack.
