"'Music Makes' scholarship, applicants need to submit a brief paragraph explaining how they are utilizing music to make a difference in your region, as well as contact information. Using the subject line 'Music Makes Application', this information needs to be submitted via email to immerse@gospelmusic.org. Applications are due by May 22," a press release said.

The next scholarship through reVIEWyou and is run by the National Praise and Worship Institute. They are offering three $5,000 scholarships for "Songwriting," "Singer/Songwriter-Female," and "Singer/Songwriter-Male," of the reVIEWyou events.

"IMMERSE is about taking the next step. You can sing, play or write but know there's still whole a lot more to learn about making really great music," according to their website. "IMMERSE brings experienced teachers together to walk you through the daunting process of recording, writing a great harmony, stage presence and literally hundreds of other topics that can overwhelm the creative mind."

The whole event is being put on by the Gospel Music Association and Lifeway, both of which are non-profit organizations that mentor, develop and equip the future of Christian artists, according to the press release.

"We believe in the power of music to communicate God's message of love and hope and that by investing in the lives of those who attend IMMERSE, many more lives will ultimately be impacted and affected for Christ," the organization stated.

The artists present at the conference include: Brandon Heath, Tommy Walker, Mikeschair, Shelly E. Johnson, Jared Anderon, Tiffany Arbuckle (Plumb), Montell Jordan, and Laura Allen as well as speakers and record execs Conor Farley (Tooth & Nail Records), Tony Wood, James Tealy, and many more.

An additional feature of Immerse will be ReVIEWyou, where professionals in the music industry will critique the participants work and artistry. Winners of the contest must still purchase tickets for ReVIEWyou, however.

The Gospel Music Association puts on the Dove Awards and Hall of Fame ceremony annually and serves as a vital tool to spread the gospel through music.

Lifeway's mission is to "assist churches and believers to evangelize the world to Christ, develop believers, and grow churches by being the best provider of relevant, high quality, high value Christian products and services," according to the Immerse website.
