The way things are going at the moment, many are expecting the two to be part of the close battle for positioning in the playoffs when the regular season comes to a close.

At the moment, the Pacers have a slightly better record as they are a few games above the .500 mark.

On the other hand, the Hornets are hovering around the .500 mark as well but a big win over the Pacers will help them get above the hump and close the gap between the two squads.

The Hornets have had difficulty so far this season but have stayed relatively afloat thanks to play by Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lin.

Al Jefferson has been out due to injuries and it has affected how the Hornets get wins but it has come as a big surprise that the Hornets are doing well despite the lack of players.

On the other hand, the Pacers may not be challenging for the top spot in the East, but they are doing just enough to keep a positive record.

Paul George has been playing like a superstar this season and he has shown that he has recovered from his leg injury that he suffered over the summer. He has been the undeniable leader for the team but he needs consistent help from his teammates if they wish to continue their form.
