Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football takes place in Week 9 of the NFL 2013 regular season tonight, in what is an important clash for both teams in determining who will win the AFC South division this year. The game is scheduled to start at 8.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Both teams have had ample time to prepare for tonight's clash as they both had a Bye Week in Week 8.
The Colts will have wanted to carry on playing though having been on a big high having taken down the high flying Denver Broncos, featuring ex-Colt Peyton Manning. That 39-33 win over Denver was a first defeat of the season for the Broncos and must have been a massive boost for everyone associated at the club, from fans, staff, to new quarterback Andrew Luck, who is trying to fill the large boots left by Manning's departure a few years back now.
Luck was phenomenal in their Week 7 clash, and so far this season he is 136 of 224 for 1,574 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has led the offense well and has helped them work their way up to ranking 8th in the league in offense by total points scored; they are averaging 26.7 points per game.
The Texans meanwhile, will be wanting to make amends having suffered a disappointing and demoralizing one point defeat to the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. That 16-17 loss will have been a bitter pill to swallow, and the Texans' season is falling through their fingers on the basis of falling on the wrong side of tight results.
The Texans know it is now or never, and they must win today and pull out a long string of wins to be able to compete for the AFC South title and a potential playoff spot. A win today would be a massive boost for them and would be a good foundation for them to build on in the coming weeks.
