Integrity Music Collaborates With Promise Keepers On New Worship CD

Mobile-based Integrity Music is partnering with international men’s ministry Promise Keepers (PK) for the release of The Awakening - a new worship CD that will go on sale at Promise Keepers’ first men’s conference of 2005 in Ft. Wayne, Ind. on May 20. The Awakening CD along with accompanying CD trax and a songbook will later be released to retail on July 12.

Produced by Dove-nominated producer/songwriter Bernie Herms (Natalie Grant, R.J. Helton, CeCe Winans), The Awakeninng CD features 11 new and classic worship songs sung by PK7, a special group of worship leaders and studio musicians from around the U.S. created specifically for the CD and the Promise Keepers events.

“From the choir to the musicians on the recording and even the songwriters of all the songs, The Awakening is uniquely targeted to a male audience,” said Chris Thomason, senior vice president of Integrity Label Group. “It is filled with worshipful moments that will stir men’s souls and awaken them to our unique challenge to be bold witnesses for Christ…to be men of both strength in our faith and humble in our love for the Lord.”

In addition, as part of its new partnership with the men’s organization, Integrity Music will produce the live worship music during “The Awakening - An Unpredictable Adventure,” PK’s men’s conferences for 2005 which begin in Ft. Wayne and conclude in late October in Tacoma, Wash. after 20 events across the country.

“The sounds of thousands of men worshipping God is very, very impactful,” said Harold Velasquez, Promise Keepers vice president of Creative Services when the Integrity/PK relationship was first announced. “We’re thrilled with the energy and range of worship styles that this association with Integrity Music can bring to the guys at Promise Keepers.”

2005 marks Promise Keepers’ 15th year of ministry to men. Its mission is to ignite and unite men to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ through the effective communication of seven promises to God, his fellow men, family, church and the world.

The international ministry based in Denver, Colorado has directly reached more than five and a half million men since its founding in 1990. Promise Keepers has produced more than 180 stadium and arena conferences for men, youth and clergy, weekly radio and television broadcasts, the Internet, 17 CDs, more than two dozen books, Bible studies and multi-media resources, plus outreach to local churches.

Promise Keepers’ 2005 conference theme is “The Awakening – An Unpredictable Adventure,” based on the scripture verse from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Rome, chapter 13, verse 11:

“And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”

“The Awakening” conferences have a three-fold design: to awaken men to their role in the epic spiritual battle between light and darkness, to help men reach their full potential and life’s purpose, and to help men design a plan that will empower them to impact their world, with emphasis on the home and the workplace.
