The disturbance is moving steadily towards the Bahamas in a west-northwest fashion. According to weather experts, at this rate, wind shear may drop. This allows the weather disturbance to become more organized. Eventually, it will transform into a full-blown storm.

Tracking soon-to-be Hermine

Experts use computer models to project the path of the disturbance. Projections for Florida is the first camp, while another one is for the Gulf of Mexico. There are two models because weather disturbances in this region of the world have the possibility of making two landfalls. For this one, the first landfall is predicted to happen in Florida, while the next one can take place anywhere in the U.S. mainland.

Forecast

According to the National Hurricane Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Miami, Florida, the system named Invest 99L, was seen moving westward with a speed of 15 to 20 mph through the southeastern section of the Bahamas. It was advised that those who are planning to travel to the area should monitor the developments of Invest 99L, since this disturbance could bring about strong winds, heavy rains, and possible flooding.

Still according to the weather forecast, Invest 99L has become weaker and less organized than predicted and therefore, caused minimal showers.

Path of Invest 99L

Spaghetti models were used to find the general path of the disturbance. Weather experts have predicted that Invest 99L will move in a west-northwesterly direction near the Florida Keys, Cuba, and over the Bahamas. Second landfall could happen in Texas and then, the storm could move eastward to Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama or could also affect Florida's Gulf Coast.

Hurricane season until November 30

NOAA predicts that this year is going to be the busiest season since 2012. They also predict that there will be six to 11 more storms that could affect the region. Out of these predicted 11 storms, five to eight could turn out to be hurricanes, with winds of more than 110 mph.
